The dialogue between Mozambican national courts and bodies such as the SADC Tribunal and the African Court on Human and Peoples' Rights is fundamental to ensuring a safe environment for investment.
Mozambique, as a signatory to several regional protocols, is at the forefront of creating a solid economic and legal block in Southern Africa.
Challenges for Justice on the Continent:
- Judicial Independence: Ensuring that Law prevails over momentary political interests.
- Access to Justice: Using technology to bring Law to remote regions of the country.
- Regional Harmonization: Creating common rules that facilitate trade and the free movement of people.
- Rights Protection: Implementing effective defense mechanisms against abuses of power.
